To have a healthy and a supple skin is no longer a dream, if you follow a daily skin care routine. Our skin has several basic needs, first it needs to kept clean as much as possible. Secondly, the skin needs to be protected from sunlight, dirt and pollution. The skin of the face needs to be taken care than any other part of the body. Here are four basic steps of skin care routine and cannot be skipped on any account if you want to have a healthy and glowing skin.
Cleansing: Cleansing is an important part of the skin regime. It is essential to avoid acnes and other skin problems. Wash your skin using a mild face wash and wipe off with a clean cloth. Use mild cleanser at least twice a day but make sure it rinses away easily.
Toning the skin: Toning not only cleans your skin further but also helps in removing dirt from your skin that might have been left behind. It nourishes, hydrates, cools and freshens up your skin. It tighten up the skin and closes up any skin pores that might have been opened up while deep cleansing your face. Toners must be alcohol free as alcohol dries up the skin.
Exfoliating the skin: Exfoliants remove the dead cells from the skin, it rejuvenates the skin and eliminates fine lines and wrinkles from the face. The younger skin that surfaces after the process of exfoliation naturally looks more beautiful and young.
Moisturizing the skin: Like our body , our skin also needs proper nutrients and hydration to keep it healthy. Therefore, apply a good moisturizer and a sunscreen with more than SPF 15 to keep it healthy. This helps the skin to balance and restore any damage that might have occurred overnight.
Facial care tips:
✔ Never go to bed with your make-up. Make-up that is left on your skin clogs the pores and prevents the skin cells from shedding. This can cause blemishes or blackheads. Your skin needs to breathe overnight.
✔ Avoid sunlight or use liberal amount of sunscreen. Sunlight causes the skin to age and this can lead to skin cancer.
✔ Alpha hydroxy acid applied daily will help you to prevent acne break out if your skin is oily.
These are some of the basic skin care techniques, if followed religiously will help you to have flawless skin. The skin of the face needs more attention than rest of the body. If you have a skin care regimen,it will take five to ten minutes a day to follow it.
